The Unholy Trinity Of Evil

"When greed, aversion and delusion arise within his mind, they destroy the evil doer, just as the bamboo flower signals the ruin of the bamboo plant ..."[14]

If the Buddhist teaching that starts this blog is an honest understanding then Greed, Delusion and Aversion are an unholy trinity best avoided.

Greed:

"intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food.

"mercenaries who had allowed greed to overtake their principles"

Delusion:

"an idiosyncratic belief or impression that is firmly maintained despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality or rational argument, typically a symptom of mental disorder.
"the delusion of being watched"

Aversion:

 "
a strong dislike or disinclination.
"he had a deep-seated aversion to most forms of exercise"
Looking at our world it's just too easy to find big name people that have obvious problems with this unholy trinity. However the purpose of this blog is not to explore the world writ large. Here's where we explore the world writ small. Small enough to fit within your heart.

It's time to look inside your heart. Do you see Greed, Delusion and Aversion? Of course you do. You are a human living in a dualistic world. Which means we have both Light and Dark within. The only question is: which side do we choose.

51 And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, 52 and sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. 53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. 54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? 55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. 56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.
