Most Of Us Are Just Hanging On

 It's no conspiracy theory to say that the Elite control the flow and most of the flow ends up in their resevours. For us Proles the best we can do is to not let go. Or is it?

 

Just Hanging On

I believe that if we were to take the teachings of Buddha, Micah, Jesus and Gandhi and use them to guide our lives as both individuals and in time groups that we could change our world into a better place.

The infrastructure is already there. Mandirs, Synagogues, Temples, Churches plus the omnipresent web and social media. 

Could we change the power elite? Doubtful at best. But we could change how the rest of us live together. 

Imagine a world where justice tempered by mercy and humility are the guiding lights. Can you conceive of a world where wars aren't fought because the people refuse to die for the dreams of rich old people? Or a world where starvation is eradicated because we have learned how to share? Picture a world where the billions of dollars that are today spent on killing women and children are instead spent on housing, health care, education and the environment.  

I surely prefer the world I just described to the world we now live in. If you feel the same way, is it time for you to reach out to those you trust and find a way to live the righteous life that we are all called to?
