Speaking Truth To Deniers ~ Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari

""To say that we are going to make Hamas disappear is to throw sand in people's eyes. If we don't provide an alternative, in the end, we will have Hamas," Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari told Israel's Channel 13 broadcaster.

Since Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari became the IDF spokesman I have rarely agreed with him. Indeed, most of the time I thought rather disparagingly of him as a 'party hack'. If I was in his presence right now, I would honestly apologize and ask to shake his hand. 

He has publicly and I dare say with a great deal of danger to his reputation and military career stated for one and all to hear the truth that an ideology cannot be defeated, and that Israel must find a way to create a viable alternative to the Hamas Ideology. 

Please deeply realize that the Rear Admiral is not a dove, nor a left wing woke fool of an old man. He is a man who has spent his life in the military finding ways to defeat Israels enemies and doing the will of his political masters. And yet now he has publicly stated that the role assigned to him by those master's is unachievable. 

I get the feeling that he would like to try Plan B.
