To Family & Friends ~ Our Garden & Our Doberman

 Sep 9, 2024

Sep 9, 2024 Ivory Island Lightstatin Hi, for those not keeping score, we moved back to the Philippines in late 2001. Since that time till now, we have been creating and recreating our garden. What amazes me is that it has yet to stop amazing me! Every time I go for a walk something catches my eye, my ear, my nose or my heart. Earlier today, it was the snake gourd gone to seed and a rather small grasshopper that was sitting on a pepper plant leaf. As I work on this post, it is watching M’Lady come back in with fresh veggies. I have felt this same amazement on a lighthouse, anchored out alone in a small boat, living in a small Indian village on the north coast of B.C. Canada. I have never felt it in a city, town or any community where there were more people than critters. It may simply be that I feel more comfortable in the wilds of Mother Earth than I do in the wildness of humanity? Brian
