Before The Cure There Must Be Diagnosis

No patient can work towards a cure until they understand their illness. This bedrock truth holds up not only for individuals but for groups, large and small. 

October 15, 2024, Hi, No patient can work towards a cure until they understand their illness. This bedrock truth holds up not only for individuals but for groups, large and small. This illness is spreading across the world. Nowhere has it broken out as strongly as in The United States. And nowhere is it more obvious than in the battle between Trump and Harris. Trump is old, privileged, white, a convicted felon, a sexual predator, and a habitual liar. Harris is middle-aged, comes from a middle class background, law-abiding, monogamous, and is as truthful as a politician can be. And still, the presidential election with less than a month to go is a dead heat. Every political pundit and hack has their own opinion on why this race is so tight. I don't believe that I am either a pundit or a hack, but I have my diagnosis. America, as a society, is sick they suffer from the illness of ignorance. for generations, they have believed the worst of their own mythology. they are God's new Chosen People. it is their God given burden to spread their beliefs to the rest of the world. this will be done by the gun and, or, the cross Colonization, slavery, wars, economic levers are all weapons in this war. the people are looking for a leader that will enable them to wallow in their ignorance. Both Harris and Trump offer a way that will allow the people to believe the mythology and continue on in their dangerous ignorance. The reason that the race is so close is that they are both offering the same dream. They both shout out that they will make America great again. They both proclaim 'safe borders'. Certainly, they change some insignificant details. Still and all, the main message remains the main message, and that is why the voters are evenly split. As long as this illness of ignorance continues, the vote will always be evenly split. America needs a leader that can guide them out of the valley of the shadow onto the plains of light. Then and only then will she be able to heal. She needs to get over her mythology and behold the harm her mythology has done. Only then can she begin to heal and in her own healing bring the possibility of healing to the rest of the world. Bringer Of the Gentle Wind
