The Problem isn't what leaders Do
The problem is what you the people accept

Most people find me hard to work for. Not because I don't pay well and on time. Or because I'm an arrogant white man. But because I demand quality work. I simply do not believe that good enough, is good enough; or even acceptable!! (The Life And Times Of Brian Waddington)
Garbage in, garbage out, doesn't just apply to computers
I believe that it's time for a little role reversal. What a nation's leaders do does not destroy a society. What destroys a society is what the people accept from their leaders.
Hitler preached flat out hate filled racist escapism. Most of the German population found that totally acceptable. It's just so much easier to blame somebody else for your problems.
Trump flaunts convention, ignores the constitution, and preaches flat out hate filled racist escapism: he was elected not once but twice.
I could almost understand him getting elected once, he's that good a con man: but to get elected twice means that the people accept what he does ~ what he says ~ and they're willing to live with it.
The takeaway
If you don't like where your country is headed, then it's up to you to take a stand. You need to tell your leaders that they have gone too far, and you won't accept what they're doing.
If you won't stand up, if you won't tell your leaders they've gone too far and that you won't accept what they're doing ~ you deserve what you get.
