I grew up in western Canada. For me reds and greens are the quintessential Christmas colors

Reds and greens are an essential part of the Christmas season for me. So is the scent of Mandarin oranges. In a year round garden reds and greens are easy to find. Mandarin Oranges... not so easy. Thankfully one of our wild ginger plants has blossoms that have the unmistakable Mandarin Orange scent.
