Cue Mission Impossible Theme Music: Identify The Crane Fly By The Wing Veins

One of the club members likes to identify insects. With Crane Flies it is often necessary to compare wing veins.
This one's for Geoff

"Crane flies are found worldwide, though individual species usually have limited ranges. They are most diverse in the tropics, and are also common in northern latitudes and high elevations.[4]
The Tipulidae is one of the largest groups of flies, including over 15,000 species and subspecies in 525 genera and subgenera.[5] Most crane flies were described by the entomologist Charles Paul Alexander, a fly specialist, in over 1000 research publications"

I'm told that the identification is often dependent upon wing veins. One of the club members lives where it rains, a lot. I'm giving I'm this shot to help him keep busy on the rainy days.
