A Seminal Time
Studio Work: close-up/macro wing of a Common Mormon butterfly |
Time and tide wait for no one. My last motorcycle accident convinced me that my reactions had slowed down too much for me to continue riding a motorcycle. Then my hand eye coordination went west and no more driving a car. Not a problem I could still go for walks along the mountain trails with our Doberman. But the walks got shorter and less frequent.
Round about this time M'Lady started working on her doctorate and to fill in the alone time astronomy became part of my life. It was a good time but between our drunken neighbours and climate change it was short lived.
M'Lady eventually bought me a camera for my birthday... and the rest is history. Now I have once again entered a seminal time. More often than I like I find myself not getting the camera out because I'm too tired and there is too great a possibility of dropping some very nice gear.
Hopefully sometime next week a new adventure will open up for me. A new and more sedentary way of doing macro/extreme macro. When the new gear gets here the adventure will begin.
On the days when I still can do outside work I shall post the results here. On the days I can't you'll see the results from the learning curve of the new gear. Could be interesting. I hope you will stick around and enjoy the journey.
