Working On The Hardest Of The Hard: White Flower Close-Up

To borrow a medical term, I practice phototgraphy. The difference between myself and a doctor is that when I get it wrong no one dies. These two images of the same flower are very different with the new and improved version also being much simpler. You may or may not agree.

To the left is the new and improved (?) version. Going back to the KISS principal seems to have paid off. Unlike the first version (directly below) which was a nine shot exposure stack this is a single image with more local than global adjustments.
