Who Needs A Crystal Ball If You Have The Web

41 Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own? 42 How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove that splinter in your eye,’ when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! Remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter in your brother’s eye.

To serve is to follow The Way

 There are countless ways to understand Jesus and I hope the way you understand him helps you to be a wiser and more compassionate person. If you have read, not just skimmed but deeply and thoughtfully read the New Testament one simple truth will have jumped out at you: Jesus preaches good news. There is a way to live that will bring you to G-d and if you will follow his teachings with Love in your heart you will be a Follower of The Way that leads to G-d

Nevertheless, Preacher of the Good News that he was, he didn't have much use for hypocrisy. Matter of fact it could get you into a lot of trouble. (Matthew 25)

Which brings me to the meat of this post. For as long as I can remember America has claimed to be especially beloved by the Christian G-d.

 

'In God we trust' is on their money. Clergy pray for successful wars. America has brought the true protestant G-d to every corner of the empire.

Trump gets elected. 

Internally or externally America has rarely lived in peace during the 20th or 21st century.

The teachings of Jesus are ignored. 

In short, America is a magnificent Hypocrite. 

Is it truly surprising that America is descending into a land so lawless that private militias are showing up on the streets? Are you surprised when honest people are gunned down by the police or that children are kept in cages?

Is it too late for America to repent and follow The Way? I don't know. But the upcoming election will point out the direction America will be taking.

To share food is to follow The Way
