The Inner Light

“People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own souls. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
 Carl Jung, Psychology and Alchemy
The beauty within this image only came out when I started adjusting the darkness. Only when the darkness opened up was the beauty enhanced.

Jung has a valid point. Enlightenment doesn't come about when a person is only lightness and goodness, Enlightenment is only achieved when we understand all of what we are. The Dark. The Light. The In Between.

The need to explore all that is within us is what makes the journey both fascinating and dangerous.
