 Humans are herd animals. We just naturally follow the leader.  Sheepeople don't much care which leader as long as the leader tells them what to think and who to hate.

Hundreds are dying in Iran because their Supreme Leader KNOWS what G-d demands of His people. Thousands of women will die in high risk pregnancies and back-ally abortions because Christian Nationalists KNOW what G-d demands of His people. They know because their understanding of Sharia and the Book of Rules is perfect.

Newsflash: Neither Iran's Supreme Leader nor America's Christian Nationalists have a direct unfailing connection to G-d. Personally, I have this image of an old wise woman sitting in a rocking chair looking down from far above shaking her head and muttering to herself:

'They really believe that they're on my side?'

Then again, she has certainly sat back and shook her head at me more than once!

So, I'm not about to tell you what or who to believe. I'll merely suggest that when a seriously conservative (and never forget there are seriously conservative liberals)  bunch of old men who know that they are inspired by G-d decide to follow a Supreme Leader and rule their little piece of dirt with an iron rod... everyone will soon be in trouble, big time trouble.

I'll also point out that a prophet once declared that all G-d wanted from us was:

  'To do Justice, Love Mercy and to Walk Humbly with our G-d'.
