The Test Of Time

As there really is nothing new under the sun or the moon I have chosen Wisdom that has stood the test of time as my goto aid to a better life.

Jane Austen

Somewhere around 2010 M'Lady gifted me a Jane Austen book (rather than movie) collection. Since then I have read and re-read them till now they are falling apart.

I've worn them out for two reasons 1) she tells a great story, 2) she understands the human condition. That's a combo that's hard to beat: Wisdom wrapped in exceptionally good stories.

Jane Austen is certainly not the only author that has stood the test of time. The Bard would be on my list as well as Milton, Sun Tzu, Buddha, and many more.

The sharp eyed of you will have noted I have not included any authors of religious texts. This is not because Wisdom is missing from them but because actual authorship is hard to prove. So, please do have a look at Jewish, Islamic, Christian or indeed any classical Wisdom Literature.   

I believe that The Preacher was right: sift offered solutions like fine gold found in black sands. 

The ancient Wisdom supplies us with the needed tools for this challenge.
