Humanity ~ The Penultimate Weapon Of Mass Destruction

 Canada will continue to advocate for international collaboration on an ambitious Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, including targeting 30 percent of lands and oceans conserved by 2030. Halting and reversing biodiversity loss require real collaboration and partnership, including with Indigenous Peoples, the original guardians of the land. It also requires real transformative change, innovation, and a proper accounting for the true value of nature in decision-making across all sectors.

 Lets just grab onto some reality

• Canada produces the world's dirtiest oil.
• Many First Nations in Canada are involved in carbon based fuel projects. 
• Canada has always traded off the natural habitat for money. So has the rest of the world.
• Greed has pushed our climate to and past many deadly tipping points.
• No matter what or how many fine words are spoken our world will continue down the path to hell we have set it on for centuries to come.

I will not lie to you. Civilization as we have known it is over. The coming Resource Wars ( the Russia / Ukrainian Resource war being neither the first nor the worst) combined with Sea Level Rise and Global Warming Refugees will change everything.

Here's another reality cheque:

• the rich will have the resources to adapt to the new reality
• the poor will die
• with up to 200,000,000 climate refugees fighting to live, Europe and North America are in for a lot of pain
• Canada has a very resource hungry neighbor to the south. 

Trust me on this one: There's nothing but hard times coming. Best get ready.
