Today was my first post pandemic visit from the local Jehovah Witnesses. One of them reminded me of a simple truth. 

The bible is only a tool and how we use a tool makes all the difference.

One used the bible as a tool for understanding. The other used it as a hammer to beat my faith into little pieces

 

This looks good on it's own

I treat the bible the same way I treated the blossom found in this blog. I try to use as many filters, settings and views as possible. 

Hopefully I will find the beauty that looking from only one angle and with one set-up would miss. 

Some of you may well prefer one of these images, or both, or even neither.

And any of those options are alright with me.

I feel the same way with Faith. One size does not fit all. As long as you are working on justice, mercy and humility I don't care what icing you put on the cake.
