Time To Remind: War Never Gives Birth to Peace

Out of the same mouth flow blessings and curses. This should not be so, my brethren. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brethren, produce olives or can a grapevine produce figs? Neither can salt water yield fresh water.

Lately every time I open up the web I'm bombarded with opinions on how the Leopard, The Challenger and the Abram will or will not be the game changing weapons that will allow Ukraine to defeat Russia and restore peace to the land.

Applying Old Time Wisdom to the questions brings a very unpleasant answer to the game changer question.

These tanks may help to end this war but they won't bring peace.War can only give birth to war:

  • World War 1 ends and the winning side forces the Treaty Of Versailles upon the losing side. This crates the needed conditions for WW 2
  • WW 2 ends but instead of bringing peace it creates the conditions for the Cold War.
  • The Cold War gives birth to multiple Proxy Wars
  • These Proxy Wars combined with the Cold War create the conditions for Putin to invade the Ukraine
  • And the tanks roll on and on and on.

I'll say it again, war only creates war. But there is a way to Peace. Humanity only needs to do justice, show mercy and walk humbly. Those that will do this will become 'Peace Makers'. Some would say that those who become Peace Makers become God's Children.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
