We Need Supremely Educated Leaders ~ We Get Trumpians And Global Warming

 In days long gone the wise ones learned how to live with Mother Earth.

In the past twenty years we have come to think of ourselves as stewards:

 a person who manages another's property or financial affairs; one who administers anything as the agent of another or others.

We started off as bosses. We cut what we wanted to cut, planted what and where we pleased, raped, pillaged and plundered the land we lived on. In short, we took the bibles story seriously and exercised absolute Dominion over the land. It didn't work all that well.  

After a while something incredible happened. The garden began to teach us. The more we listened and learned the better things worked. 

We were shown what to trim, what to remove, where to plant and what to plant. One day we realized that wherever the wild peanuts grew we could plant and nurture edible peanuts. It also became obvious that Mother Earth would quite naturally and easily grow flowers that were good for the environment, the eyes, the nose and the stomach.

All that was required of us was making sure we took the time to enjoy the beauty that surrounded us. One small example: Yellow Butterfly Wing Wild Ginger. The roots are edible. The flowers are beautiful and smell like oranges. You can also eat the flowers.

Absolute Dominion didn't work for us and when I look outside our garden I can see that it hasn't worked for anyone else either. Back in the day Plato described what he considered the best type of societal control, the Philosopher King. The basic idea is that the one who rules should be immersed in the wisdom of the ages. Because the King was so well educated he would always make the right choices.

No country has ever followed his advice. Rather than Philosopher Kings we get Trump, Trudeau (father and son), Napoleon, Stalin, Hitler, Queen Victoria and a host of others whose only purpose was to rape, pillage, plunder and in all possible ways abuse Mother Earth and the people they had Dominion over. Net result, Global Warming and Resource Wars.

Plato and many others believed that we need a supremely educated ruling elite hat would guide us in the ways that would create a society based on justice, mercy and humility. Not only for the people but for all of creation. So Do I.
