 For those who missed it Maria Ressa is taking on the Powers That Be in the Philippines. She got in President Duterte's face when the drug war and it's extra judicial killings started. Duterte came back at her with multiple court cases against her and Rappler.

When you read her book you will find out that the Philippine government created more than ten court cases against her with a total of more than 100 years in jail if she lost. I say created because in the strong man system of government found in the Philippines, to date 10 cases have been thrown out of court. You will also find out that while on the road she wears a bulletproof vest. (drive by vehicular assassinations are the assassination of choice in the Philippines) 

M'Lady had the privilege of attending one of her lecture/book signings. Mam Ressa was kind enough to make the requested dedication. If I can find the merest fraction of the courage within my heart that she has within her's this blog will become more outspoken about the injustice's to Mother Earth in the Philippines.
