Not to worry, I'm not about to give you the one and only true answer about good and evil. 

So, allow me to make a suggestion? Don't worry about how evil came into being. Worry about how to control your less than saintly impulses.

Thankfully, most faiths have a pretty good guidebook about how to live a better life.     

One simple warning; half of all imams, pastors, priests, rabbis, theologians and gurus graduated in the bottom half of their class. This being the case it only makes sense to be careful who you go to for spiritual advice.
