The particular brand of fanaticism makes no difference. Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, Zionist, Capitalist, Communist, Sikh, Hindu, makes no difference. The fanatical believers always have, and probably always will, rape pillage and plunder in their god's name. 

Regular readers of this blog already know that Rick and I go back a long way. On many subjects we have strong and differing opinions and beliefs. We still stay friends. He doesn't try to kill me, and I don't try to kill him. This is how it should be. 

We both know that there are things we will never agree on, and we just let them go. We're happy, no one dies, and our lives are richer for the differences.

There's no reason that the rest of the world can't learn the lessons Rick and I have.

1. hard core anything is a violent path.
2. it doesn't matter what you ride, what matters is that you ride. 
3. doing justice is good.
4. offering mercy is essential.
5. a little humility goes a long way.

If we could all learn these lessons the Israeli-Hamas war would quickly end and peace would flow like milk and honey across the land.
