Just Enough Challenges For An Old Husband And A Middle Aged Wife
At about 07:30 I heard the distinctive sound of bamboo columns falling over and landing in our goose pen and pond. The geese were startled but unhurt.
A new day, a new challenge. Life is good! |
M'Lady was having a rare sleep in so I wandered down to the pond to see what I could see.
Eight of the geese were in the pen but one was lost somewhere in the fallen bamboo. By the sound of his squawking, lost but unhurt. I went back to the house and once M'lady was up and about explained things to her. She contacted Min and I started clearing enough bamboo to be able to feed the geese and fish.
Min and Gogore her husband arrived and, we made plans to finish the cleanup on Saturday.
Considering the condition the world writ large is in, it would be obscene to brag about how we overcame some great trial and tribulation today.
All we did was solve a problem that was just like a million other challenges that come with owning a small bit of land in any rural setting. City people try to beat the traffic; country people try to work with Mother Nature. I'm glad I left the city.
