It's Time For Plan B

We live on an island that is suffering through both drought and heat. As with most things in life, how my body copes with heat has changed over the years. The drought and heat wave have helped to push my blood sugar up by @40 points.

We live on an island that is suffering through both drought and heat. As with most thigs in life how my body copes with heat has changed over the years. This drought and heat wave has helped to push my blood sugar up by @40 points. The good news is that my blood sugar count is still lower than when I was discharged from hospital after they had worked on me for a week to lower my blood sugar. (it's a long story) The bad news is that it's climbing. I can't change the temperature, but I can work on my way of coping with it. I can also change what and how I eat. M'Lady finally gets her way and I'll be upping my unadulterated water intake. I will also cut down on my tea and coffee. (both of which are good for my MS but bad for my Diabetes) No more Bagel for breakfast. (too much sugar) no more cheese definitely lower my carb intake. stop going for walks unless I'm in the shade. I'm sure I will think of more things to adjust and re-adjust. As with everything in life change is inevitable. The only question is, will it be a change for the good? Once again, the answer is couched in the phrase 'time will tell'. Brian
Yikes, way to high!

The good news is that my blood sugar count is still lower than when I was discharged from hospital after they had worked on me for a week to lower my blood sugar. (it's a long story)

The bad news is that it's climbing. I can't change the temperature, but I can work on my way of coping with it. I can also change what and how I eat.

  1. M'Lady finally gets her way and I'll be upping my unadulterated water intake.
  2. I will also cut down on my tea and coffee. (both of which are good for my MS but bad for my Diabetes)
  3. No more Bagel for breakfast. (too much sugar)
  4. no more cheese
  5. definitely lower my carb intake.
  6. stop going for walks unless I'm in the shade.
  7. I'm sure I will think of more things to adjust and re-adjust.
As with everything in life change is inevitable. The only question is, will it be a change for the good? Once again, the answer is couched in the phrase 'time will tell'.
