Jesus & Muhammad Suggest We Hate Zionism Not The Zionist
Hate the sin be compassionate towards the sinner. |
"Yes, both Jesus and Muhammad, in their respective religious teachings, have concepts that can be seen as variations of the phrase “hate the sin, not the sinner.”
Jesus: The phrase “hate the sin, not the sinner” is not directly found in the Bible, but the concept is biblical12. Jesus taught about forgiveness and love towards others, even those who have wronged us. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus redefined sin to a previously unheard level, essentially saying that thinking about sinning is as bad as doing it3. He was frequently accused of fraternizing with sinners, and in fact spent most of His time with them3. This suggests a separation of the person from their actions, promoting forgiveness and empathy.
Muhammad: In Islam, it is an obligation on every Muslim to hate the sin in terms that it is a disobedience to Allah4. As regards the sinful person, he is loved for the good things that he does and he is hated only for his disobedience to Allah4. This can be seen as a variation of the phrase “hate the sin, not the sinner.”
It’s important to note that interpretations can vary, and these teachings should be understood in the broader context of each religion’s doctrines and values". (Copilot aka My Research Assistant)
Far be it for me to disagree with two such powerful historical figures. which means that I need to fill up on compassion and empty my weapons of condemnation. At least as far as my attitude towards the believers in Zionism goes. Though I am apparently allowed to hate the political/religious movement known as Zionism, whether it be Christin, Jewish, Islamic or Atheist in nature.
I have seen firsthand how evil colonization is. It corrupts the colonizer and defeats the colonized. As Zionism, at heart is just Imperial Colonization I'll continue to rale (look the word up before you laugh at my proof-reading skills) against Zionism.
