I Am So Dated Our New Washing Machine Seems High Tech!

 The fact that I learned to fly on a Fleet Canuck that was built in 1945 and had a thin metal rod attached to a cork that showed you how much fuel you had in the forward gas tank doesn't date me. But the new washing machine we just bought sure as G-d made little green apples does.

I'll be using the 'normal' cycle thank you very much.

 This machine has more computing power than my first computer, a Radio Shack Co-Co 2 had! It's got a thicker operating manual than any motorcycle or car I've owned. 

It will take me weeks to sort out all of the programs and functions. Hell, we couldn't even hook it up until we switched out the new inflow hose for one of our old ones because it wouldn't connect to our tap.  I might add that we also taped an old vacuum cleaner hose onto the drain hose because it was just a drain hose and had no pump so we couldn't even drain the machine in a way that always made sense before.

Sad but honest truth; when a washing machine seems high tech you are most assuredly old school and dated old school at that.
