Firewood & The Goose Pond

Hi, sometime in the last three decades, there has been a tidal shift in Pinoy culture. Well-to-do Filipinos would rather live on the cool mountain, or in our case, cool volcano slopes rather than a hot, dirty, smelly city. Compared to twenty years ago, there is now minimal free land where we live. This puts a premium on firewood. So, when we cut down two coconut trees, it went without saying that the logs would be cut to firewood size.
