I Thought It Was Time

Hi, a few years back, I was diagnosed with Degenerative Arthritis. The doctor prescribed a serious painkiller. Last week I wondered if I was taking it out of habit or need.

November 7, 2024, Hi, a few years back, I was diagnosed with Degenerative Arthritis. The doctor prescribed a serious painkiller. Last week I wondered if I was taking it out of habit or need. After talking things out with M'Lady, I made the choice to quit taking the painkiller. Worst case scenario, I suffer for a few days and realize that yes indeed I do need the pill. Best case scenario, I'm no longer taking a med I don't need. To make a long story short, I can live without the pill. Do I hurt? Yes. But not so much I scream out in pain. And I scream out pretty easy. I also find myself staying awake throughout the day, and my mind is working at least marginally better. So, for now, no more pills. But I reserve the right to start up again if the pain comes back to full strength. Brian
Choices Matter

After talking things out with M'Lady, I made the choice to quit taking the painkiller. Worst case scenario, I suffer for a few days and realize that yes indeed I do need the pill. Best case scenario, I'm no longer taking a med I don't need.
