Another Day In A Tropical Paradise

Hi, at approximately 0700: we lost our electricity. We found it at 16:00. At 17:00 my cell phone went ballistic, and I received an emergency alert that the volcano at the other end of the island was spewing ash and smoke. Just one more interesting day in a tropical paradise.

Canlaon is once again active

  The good news for us is that with Canlaon venting pressure at that end of the island, the volcano that we live on, which is at the lower end of the island, won't be venting. Admittedly a selfish attitude but an exceptionally practical one too. 

As was mentioned earlier, we had a brownout today. M'Lady had to go to town so it was just me, the dogs, the geese, the fish and the garden. Much of the day I spent snoozing, most contentedly. At least between walks for the dogs, transplanting a pepper plant, some weeding, and doing mind experiments about my blog and computer setup.

The mind experiment did allow me to dump the Edge sidebar by adding two apps to my taskbar. Strange but true, the older I get, the more I like, perhaps need a clean workspace.

Be that as it may, it's been a slow, long, hot day, so this will be a correspondingly short post.
