Pain Another Old Friend

November 16, 2024,

Hi, I'm told that mathematicians see the world through numbers. I see the world through images. The first image today is Pain unfiltered. The second is Pain acknowledged and accepted.

I'm told that mathematicians see the world through numbers. I see the world through images. The first image today is Pain unfiltered. The second is Pain acknowledged and accepted. Unacknowledged An Old Friend Points to Consider Pain unacknowledged and accepted is not pleasant. Once I acknowledged and accepted pain into my life, Pain changed. There are still, and I imagine always will be days, when Pain will bring me to my knees. The difference now is that Pain has become an old friend, and he warns me when it is time to pull out the meds. Which means I don't use my meds as a constant buffer but rather as an only when needed antidote. Not being in a constant cloud of painkillers allows me to once again see the world in all its beauty. And all it took was for me to accept some excellent advice from a Buddhist monk on how to work in the gardens of my mind. Brian
