The Good News Of Interconnectedness and Interdependence
December 16, 2024,
Hi one and all, Min tells me that it is time to harvest the sweet potatoes. Min is rarely mistaken
Harvest Time |
Of course, if you are going to cook sweet potatoes, it never hurts to have sweet and or hot peppers to garnish the table with. As the garden spirits would have it, the pepper garden we planted abut six months ago has got almost three dozen sweet peppers and hundreds of hot peppers ready to pick.
Naturally, you may also find yourself craving a fresh green salad. Once again, the garden has supplied the ingredients. Winged beans, Kangkong, Spinach and Sweet Potato Tops are ready to bless the table.
Throw in that our Tilapia are ready for another harvest, and we have an almost steady supply of goose eggs, and I'd have to say that come Christmas Min's family, some of her needy friends and ourselves will be having a pretty decent Christmas dinner.
This post isn't about how generous we are. Fact is, we're not particularly generous in many ways. It is about how well things work when the interconnected and interdependent nature of the world we live in is understood and respected.
