Absolutely Amazing

I was having trouble sleeping, so at around two in the morning I started surfing. The View From The Cheap Seats had over 400 hits, more or less evenly split between Germany and Austria! I am used to getting one or two hits from Germany. I can't recall Austria showing up, ever! Three and a half hours into today's data collection and I have over 300 hits, once again more or less evenly split between Germany and Austria. I have no idea why the upsurge, but my ego is certainly enjoying my fifteen minutes of fame. Switching topics; earlier today, to remove myself from the annoyance of the vacuum cleaner, I wandered off to the lower pond. Once again, the baby Box Turtles came over to see if I would feed them. Who could resist the invitation? Certainly not me! I spread a bit of feed and the baby Box Turtles began to munch away. It seems to me that the more I age, the greater becomes my appreciation for things that before would not have been important. It might just be age caching up with me. Then again, it just might be a seminal shift in how I view the world I live in? Also to be noted: the pepper plants are doing well, with hundreds of hot peppers coming along and the sweet pepper plants regaining their strength after being pruned back. our new winged bean planting is blossoming and in a week or two there will be fresh beans for the table. Spinach is growing nicely, and soon we will once again be eating fresh salads. our first banana harvest has been consumed. We are patiently awaiting the next blossom. the ginger grows well. tomatoes, both cherry and sort of beef eater, are looking good. In short, the garden is doing well. M'Lady and I are still looking into what we will replace my soon-to-be retired computer with. Asus, Mac, or perhaps a one-off build done locally. Living where we do makes this type of purchase somewhat challenging. Getting a branded product may entail travelling to a different island. Having one built means putting a lot of faith into the local techs. This is going to take a bit more thought. Brian
