Why?

January 6, 2025,

Friends and family, In small words and short sentences, because I was getting way to caught up in the fancy and the numbers.

It's all about finding the balance
Don't bet your soul on it, but I do believe that this caterpillar would have transformed into an Atlas Moth. Your average Atlas Moth has a wingspan of around 9 to 11 inches. This fellow would have been about 4 inches long.

I wouldn't say that they were ever common in our yard, but they were a lot less rare before global warming changed our climate and uncaring humans destroyed their habitat.

Whatever the truth may be, I hope you enjoy this image. I know I enjoyed taking it.
