Two Groups Of Six & A Rule Of Thirds Equals A Pretty Good Shot

The right application of the right rules equals Beauty

From time immemorial there have been rules to follow. Photography doesn't go back to the time before time but it does have it's rules. Some of those rules work well with this shot. The trick is to know which rules will work and how to apply them.

Asymmetrical works well with this shot. But where to put the asymmetrical focus. Rule of Thirds suggests that the focus can go in one of four locations. Lead in from the left limits the choice to two. Personal preference places it where it is.  

These aren't the only rules used in this shot but they have added to the overall Beauty.
