Perhaps I've been silent for too long?  I am not  a communist. I do not belong to a subversive group.
Some might say that as a landed immigrant rather than a citizen I don't even have a dog in this fight. Be that as it may.

We can all see what's going down

I'm an old man who honestly believed that he was out of the fight. But apparently I have one more fight left in me. It's time to speak up and be counted.

"Dr Mary Rose Sancelan and her husband Edwin were on their way home on Tuesday afternoon when they were shot at multiple times by unidentified gunmen in the city of Guihulngan, according to local media reports.The attackers fled on motorcycles and the couple, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, were rushed to the nearest hospital. 'Red-tagging' is the term used in the Philippines. Simply put someone is labelled as a supporter/member of  the Communist party and the odds are good that sooner or later they die a violent death. 

Perhaps it's a police raid on their house or place of work. 

Maybe they are in a fire fight with the military. 

Or, as in the case of Dr Mary Rose Sancelan and her husband Edwin armed gunmen simply assassinate you in the street and escape on motorcycles. 

However it is accomplished the people die.

More sacrifices to a useless rebellion and a government gone rogue.
