The Winter Equinox ~ So Many Celebrations
I prefer winter and Fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.

From time immemorial the winter and summer equinox's have terrified humanity. One brought the fear of death by fire. The other brought the fear of death by freezing.
I quickly ran out of fingers and toes when I tried to count all of the philosophies, religions and groups who celebrate within the season of Mid Winter.
So whatever path you follow please allow me to wish you what the Angels wished humanity when Jesus was born:
Peace on Earth to people of good will
And to those who choose not to celebrate the season... Bah Humbug
