Last Year's Experiment Was A Success This Bodes Well For The New Experiment

 January 1, 2025

Friends and family, last year I started off as a 200lb. weak, butterball. I ended as a 178 lb. much healthier person. This year's experiment is to at the end of 12 months weigh in at about 160 and have enough in the way of muscles to keep life enjoyable.

Working it!

I truly do try to follow the advice of never make plans because when we make plans the universe laughs at our arrogance. However, it is fair to have goals. Goals which are, with a little help from the Gods, achievable. Which brings us to today's image.

Last year, I put on enough kilometres and burned enough calories to transform my body and mind. This year the goal is to, at least three times a week, put in 1/2 hour, burn roughly 230 calories, lubricate my arthritic joints, get in an excellent cardiovascular workout, oxygenate the brain and kill any and all mosquitoes that try to get a free lunch.

If I don't have a catastrophic MS attack, a stroke, fall and break a leg or any other disastrous thing happen to me, I'm hoping that by January 1, 2026 I'll be around 160lbs. with a blood sugar consistently in the 80s.

I can't stop the continuing onslaught of old age deterioration. The cycle of death and life must go on. But there's nothing stopping me from getting healthier as ageing takes away my health. (Think about it and it just might make sense).
